The moment I came across The Narcoleptic Vampire Series the polygirl in me couldn’t resist checking it out. I’m so glad I did. Dicey has a talented way of blending the paranormal with romance, erotica, action, and a healthy dose of humor that keeps you wanting more. Her books are currently available on Amazon.com.
I do my best to write sexy, wild, and daring stories featuring the most unusual characters. My latest story, ZEEK’S LOVING THORN: A Novella of The Narcoleptic Vampire Series Vol. 3.1, fits my objective perfectly. While it, or any of my risqué books, is not for every reader, it IS for those looking for non-cookie cutter characters in non-formulaic plots. In this paranormal romance, Zeek, an intersexed vampire, falls for a human, who was left behind after a world-wide event that marked the disappearance of many people. Gain insight into this complicated character by reading the following excerpt:
“Zeek had been born a third gender. A femiman, not to be confused with the slang “shemale” used to describe someone born a man who took hormones or had breast implants to look more like a woman. Zeek could have decided to live as a woman, a man, both, or neither. She was an anomaly for those wanting to box everyone into a particular sexual orientation, gender self-identity, or traditional gender role. Especially those wanting to impart a moral code to every aspect of life. Some things didn’t, and shouldn’t, apply to her.
She’d been born with both male and female genitalia. Both sexes were developed, yet underdeveloped. She’d had no control over it. Up until puberty, she had tried to function androgynously, though her preference was to dress up as a pretty girl. After that, she had prayed and prayed her boobs would grow. They never did, not to voluptuousness. Just as well since doctors had said she’d never have children. She wouldn’t have to worry about breastfeeding or saggy tits. Her hips had never filled out either, and her already large clit had grown even more until it resembled the penis in their Sex Education book. Now, that had been a ballbuster, so to speak, because she didn’t really have well developed external testes either.
She had known it would be difficult living outwardly as a woman, but that’s what she had chosen. It’s who she identified with. She’d learned to always sit down to pee when she was human, and never go for convenience just because she could. People wouldn’t understand that, and they ridiculed what they didn’t understand.”
Curious about how Zeek’s and Thorn’s romance turns out? Excellent. But don’t jump into this novella without understanding the world they are in. You can read the whole series in this order: Sleepy Willow’s Bonded Soul (Vol. 1), Sleepy Willow’s Heartless Soul (Vol. 2), Sleepy Willow’s Loosed Soul (Vol. 3), and THEN you will be ready for Zeek’s Loving Thorn.
